東北(Touhoku)
東北の人たち(Touhoku no hitotachi)
東北地方(Touhoku Chihou)
東北新幹線(Touhoku Shinkansen)
Since I didn't pronounce the English parts very well, I think I should write down what I wanted to say there. What I wanted to explain about was the position of the stress. It should be on the 1st syllable, but not on the 2nd one.
koo-chan, you already did an excellent job, but please practice this, then your Nihongo will be even better ^_^
EDITED : As I mentioned at Jref Forum, I've now realized that we don't really have any stress on the word "Touhoku" and we just say it flatly. I mean, how I pronounced the word was fine, but I explained it wrong. Gomen ne~~ m(._.)m
